Kawasaki Microelectronics (K-micro) Introduces Lead-Free Packages
Company Committed to Providing Environmentally Safe Products for Its Customers
SAN JOSE, Calif. – May 3, 2004 – Kawasaki Microelectronics (K-micro), a leader in advanced yet affordable ASICs, today announced that it is offering environmentally friendly, lead-free options on its entire line of ASIC packages. Customers now can choose either lead-free packages or traditional packages for their K-micro ASICs.
"Due to environmental concerns around the world, the need for lead-free products in electronic components and systems is receiving increasing attention within the electronics industry," said Masakatsu Ogawa, executive vice president & chief technology officer (CTO) of K-micro.
